The Anderson Family

IRICEL ANDERSON: CHIEF OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, FINANCIAL CHIEF, and GUIDE

Photographer, Investor, Decorator, you name it. Iricel has an eye for making spaces feel calm and inviting. When the Lord laid an idea of opening a school on her heart, Iricel immediately had a vision of a beautiful nature-related school that incorporates forest schooling and the British culture she and her family experienced whilst living overseas and still adore. Currently working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in Non-Profit Management, Iricel has big dreams for AAO!

“My husband and I nurture two lovely and impressionable daughters. Personally at times, I have felt the weight of the world and a loss of hope for them as our society/world is rapidly changing before our eyes. As technology, among other things, has ramped up, there has been a distinct disconnect between us and nature. God has placed on my heart the dream to start a holistic school that is rooted in nature and strong foundations; where every child that walks through our doors is a genius and feels the love and hope of Christ around them. We want to foster and nurture creativity and the lifelong pursuit of learning and wisdom. Every child has a calling and a purpose and we want to help draw out those talents and gifts so that we may go forward in this life with the confidence and purpose and be world changers. It is time to get our hope up… this is us fighting for them. We are excited and humbled to be on this journey with you!”

The Wells Family

CAROLINE WELLS: CHIEF OF CURRICULUM, CHIEF OF ENGAGEMENT & ENROLLMENT, and GUIDE

After gaining an Early Childhood BS degree, Caroline and her husband, David, married and began their life together in the Augusta area. Caroline started her professional career, as a public school teacher, in rural Georgia, but has also held teaching positions in both the private sector and as a homeschool mom, for 10 years. Administratively, Caroline was the director of Thomson First United Methodist preschool for 3 years.

From her first day in the classroom, Caroline has exhibited the ‘superpower’ of connecting with her students and bringing out a level of self-confidence these children had not previously known. While pushing the boundaries of her personal faith within her guiding practices, she discovered that they can only be taken so far in the public and private education arenas. At AAO, Caroline will be able to speak more directly to what and who she knows to be true, freeing her to take her ‘superpower’ to an entirely new level.

AAO is a blessing and an answer to many heartfelt prayers. Caroline yearns for today’s adolescents, including her son, to complete their time at AAO as independent, strong students that feel empowered to directly impact the communities around them for the betterment of themselves and others. Caroline’s prayer is that AAO will help your child discover their gift and be just as much a blessing to your family as it is to her!
